American Report Part 2

So I visited this fashion show in New York by a designer called Tye Scott. He had good swimsuit designs. The event was hosted by a man with a V-neck jumper that ended it’s V around his belly and a pair of black high heels. Strange, you say. But in New York it seemed to fit to an extent. Though it would appear to an outsider like me that he was a bit tipsy, or a bit wasted. He spoke some interesting words on building a good network outside of the mainstream and giving opportunities to fellow designers. He paid homage to his good staff and was relatively amusing. The fashion show it self contained some quality models as well as an interesting addition of a bustier heavier model than the rest (see what you have done, ANTM?). She did light up the stage for her …. uhm ….. fierceness (thanks, Tyra) but also for the weight applied to the stage.

During the show a native New Yorker who was a bit bemused that I was just another audience member engaged me in conversation. “The way you are dressed I thought you were a preppy designer.” She said. I responded, “No luv, this is how rude boys dress back home!! LONDON BABY!!!!!!!!!!!”
